Changing the way the world works

Cool Projects

We are committed to helping organisations around the world realise that 'companies' don't drive growth and profit - 'people' do. At the end of the day, it's all about people. Our approach is based on collaboration. We work in close partnership with our clients in order to provide the most appropriate and effective level of guidance.

The journey to success can be brief and straightforward, or it can involve a significant number of milestones. We have seen enormous changes in the companies we partner with and we are proud to present just some of these success stories.

Our Guiding Principles

We are pioneering a new type of consultancy, one with a mission of engaging and interacting with as many people as we can to effect change. We don't try and 'sell more days'.

Through our methodologies and programmes we identify teams inhouse and form super groups. Afterall, achieving true cultural change and transformation has to come from within. We act as a catalyst and trusted advisor.

PepsiCo

We worked across PepsiCo Western Europe to understand where they are on the journey to the New World of Work. Using our Accelerator Programme methodology we mapped different generations and functions to develop a transition model. We helped identify potential challenges and opportunities as they embark on their new 2015 strategy.

TATA Corus Steel

To help achieve Continuous Improvement, we reviewed the current processes around recruitment and resourcing to embed a performance culture, nurture existing talent and source global talent. We helped build an employer brand and developed world-class Apprentice & Graduate Programmes to help combat the corporate 'brain drain'.

We engaged more than 500 people across all levels within the organisation and now are implementing our recommendations: a two-year 'Remarkable Resourcing' Programme to transform the organisation's resourcing ability.

Skandia

An exciting research project to highlight and educate the Executive Board and Strategy Team at Skandia on the changing role of the consumer to understand how they market their products to their future customer base. This then led to looking at their internal processes and structures around the design of work to ensure rapid transition to the New World of Work.

Addleshaw Goddard

This law firm is built on a culture that is forward looking and supportive, commercial and straightforward. With this in mind they asked us to conduct a large piece of research with their Generation Y employees to get their views on what the law firm of the future will look like.

We conducted a number of workshops and focus groups and added these findings to our wealth of external research, created a video and presentation based around seven key factors that are changing the way we work. This was rolled out in a road show to the senior Partners across the firm.

Virgin

We all know Virgin, we all know Richard Branson but do existing and potential employees really understand how those perceptions translate into working life? This was one of the questions that we helped them debate, amongst other topics including the ever-growing influence of Generation Y in the workplace and what they can be doing to prepare for 'new world of work'.

With 28 HR Directors from a wide range of Virgin Companies this was a highly charged project.

BP

BP is undergoing significant change and wanted to take this opportunity to redesign their Graduate Challenger programme. We worked with L&D in the UK to map competitor graduate programmes before redesigning the Challenger programme to help attract and engage the very best talent.

Merrill Lynch

One of the world's leading wealth management and capital markets companies is a prolific recruiter of graduates. In 2007 they noticed a great change in the attitudes and values of the intakes and wanted to educate the business managers on this new breed of employee.

We ran a series of workshops with the HR community and Senior Managers through the summer of 2008 to highlight the characteristics and attributes of Generation Y and how they can get more out of this valuable resource through a greater understanding of how to motivate, develop and lead them.

Holcim

Our Research and Strategy team conducted comprehensive primary and secondary research into the latest generational theory, PEST factors and demographic challenges and then mapped the results onto specific internal headcount data to navigate a hugely complex and geographically diverse power house through seismic generational, demographic and technological change.

We wanted to understand what the business impact of this change and how it affects plans for future growth and employee engagement.

Yell.com

Technological advancement is drastically changing Yell.com and its business / operating models, therefore the types of people they attract need to bring a different set of skills with them. We looked at how they were positioned in the market as an employer, the candidate journey and the skills of the line managers responsible for recruitment.

We then worked with them to redesign their whole resourcing process and delivered a series of training workshops across the business.

We have a clear vision, to change the way the world works! We often get asked, 'why e3?'

Our founding and guiding principles are to educate, engage and empower... e3!

Gen Y Poster

A 21st Century Organisation is something any leader, any business - any competitive brand must be. It suggests that to survive in the complex global markets (now fiercely competitive and commoditised) the enterprise has to redesign the organisational model, streamline its systems and understand human behavior.
